Hey all! I know there are some talented builders here on Blockland, but I was wondering, how many of you have musical talent?
I have had a passion for music since the very first time I put my hands on a keyboard. I had heard music but always desired more... I wanted to be the one playing it. I never really could figure out how to read music but somehow I had an uncanny ability to sound it out (what musicians call "playing by ear".) My life wouldn't be as fulfilling if music didn't exist. I currently play 5 instruments one of which (piano) I am really good at: piano, guitar, drums, bass, and my voice.
My proposal is that those of us who like to create music should have a specialized guild, I know that the more contacts you have, the easier it is to go big in music, not to mention friendship with others with similar interests is a cool thing to experience.
Anyway The main criteria for joining is as follows---->
1. You must have a strong love of music and it's beauty 2. You must play at least 1 musical instrument AND/OR Use hi-end programs for synthesis and/or techno creation to join the main sector of the guild (there will be a public sector for those who love music but don't know how to play any instruments or don't use professional remixing software to make music)
3. You want to have some fun with friends!
Not following these rules will lead to a warning. if offenses persist it will result in immediate ejection from the guild/public guild:
1 NO spamming.... Spam is a gross meat BTW.
2 Respect the choices of those chosen as ranking officers.
3 Be respectful of others. Chose who you joke with and what you joke about carefully, as not to offend anyone by accident or purposefully.
4 keep the four letter words to a minimum (language is permitted BUT no F**k or S**t or anything that would offend YOU if someone flung it in your direction.)
5 Don't be annoying. annoyances have no place in our guild.
6 No inside jokes! If you have something to say, say it to ALL of the group.
7 No random rambling. We don't want to hear about how bad your dog stinks, or whatever stupid, irrelevant junk you come up with just to annoy others.
8 NO POLITICS WHATSOEVER!!! I get enough of that crap from the news.
9 HAVE FUN!!!! Fun is the main element here. share clips, thoughts, jokes, stuff like that. be open to ideas!
