How do I tell if my laptop has DVD ROM?

Depending on your laptop model, if it even has one, it's either on the front; or the right or left side.

I have it on my lap right now trying to figure stuff out.
1.I dont see anything on the drive door thing... I think Im looking at the right thing.
2.On the disc drive thing I see 4 thing
1.a little imprint that looks like an upward arrow with a dash under it
2.a oval shaped button next to the imprint
3.a little thing that might be a light...
4.a little dark black spot on the right side that feels like some kind of panel or something and it has a imprint that looks kinda like a dash, a few dots, and the and cracked open laptop ._. =\ any help?

It would be easier, if you just told us your PC name and model and when you bought it.

Generally the dvd drive will say DVD ROM.
If it's a DVD writer it'll say DVD-R.

I'm not too fluent in DVDese but I know those two.

I read that but he needs to get one else playing a DVD on a laptop will be pointless
There is obviously going to be a disk drive on a laptop in this day and age and you'd have to be really stupid not to know that I meant to put a DVD in the disk drive

You can wait to buy the game until you get the laptop working.  If it was crappy specs, buy a game that wont run would be pointless.
