Author Topic: Starting from the beggining Internet  (Read 1261 times)

What if someone made a new "internet" it didn't connect to the current cyberspace at all and it started from scratch.

There would be a main directory with a list of the sites that are up o:

It would be pointless.

It would be full of research.

the way i took the 'main directory' at first, was that it was on one computer/server. though it might be easier to navigate that way(i dont mean hosted by one computer, but a server directory) it would be much easier navigated, but also hacked if you didnt have access to the 'old internet'. sounds like it could go good or bad.

It would be easier to navigate for a while but then there would be too many listings.  Which is why we dont have one of those

Sadly this is the most probable out turn...

It would be full of research.
This one already is.

And you can try to make a new internet, just make a network that contains billions of users :D

Its been done. Governments, large companies, and communities of pirates have their own standalone networks.
Also gamers.

Considering this community, it would be terrible.

That would be interesting, at least for the first couple of months.
