Dedicated Server - Saving Blocks - How/Is it possible?

I've seen this brought up in several topics and there is never an answer. I'm hoping with this clear title we can finally have the proper question asked and the proper answer delivered, whatever it may be:

Is there a way to save bricks on a dedicated server from THE CONSOLE? I would like to be able to script periodic saves of my server so that if it crashes we don't have to rely on a client to reload (and then worry about if they saw all of the bricks).

Badspot - If there currently is NOT a way can this be included in the future? I honestly consider it the ONLY downside to server hosting.

There isn't an existing way but until Badspot implements something along these lines, I'll add a function into RTB v3 to do this.
