It was made in WWII as a motivational poster representing women who worked in airplane factories making, you guessed it, WWII planes!(I think. Its been since 4th grade since I last saw that in a book)

More or less correct. It was also used in hope to allow women more options to support a family while their men were away at war. If you ask me. Women made the planes and bullets and they worked pretty damned well. Just remember that next time you tell one to go to the kitchen. She might just make a bullet instead of a biscuit =p
