why is there no prompt/input box for changeing my screen name?

i recently decided i wanted to change my screen name. so i click on profile, then account related settings.


i have all the choices there, except for changing my screen name as i read i could.

it simply displays un-editable text

user name: *******
name: gameboy101
--------------------------
(next catagory and so on)

while every cell in the table has options in it, the name one has none!

err, help?!!

You can't change it here.

You have to PM Badspot.

ah, from the help section i was under the impression a screen name could be changed, while a username needed admin help.

In this forum's system, SMF, there IS an option where a user can change their display name (different from account name), however Badspot has disabled the option to do so. I don't blame him. Letting anyone in a public community change their name is just asking for madness.
