Keyboard troubles, several keys not working

Just as the title says, various keys in blockland aren't working, they never have, back to when I first got blockland in v12.
These keys are (including shifted version):
' (apostrophe)
~ (no console in game, have to alt-tab to other thingy)
[ key
my ] key acts like my [ key
my \ key acts like my ] key (means no \)
= key
/ key on numpad
All of these keys work while loading the server, but as soon as I'm done loading and I spawn, these keys stop working. For now, I have nothing to blame, so I blame Vista.

Are you postive they are clean?

Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Human Interface Devices -> Microsoft eHome Infared Transceiver -> Uninstall

Unfortunately, it reinstalls everytime you turn on the computer.

And there's no way at all to stop it from reinstalling itself every time? I'm used to it by now, but it's still annoying.

According to the Microsoft forums. Don't uninstall it, disable it.

After more testing, I found I have the same problems in the ingame GUIs like the IRC.

Are you sure you expanded the "Human Interface Devices" category? I am 100% sure what I posted is the fix.

I posted Truce's method a while back and seemed to work for me.

After having similar problems in other games I have done googling and some searching and asking questions etc. And I have found a fix!!!

How to fix the problem with keyboard controlls messing up.
For some reason multiple games have this problem with Infra Red Devices and for some very strange reason it messes with your keyboard settings.
To fix in Windows - 1) Click start
2) Click Control Pannel
3) Click Device Manager
4) Expand the Universal Serial Bus Controllers tab. (USB to you and me ;) )
          a) This sometimes comes at Human Interface Devices.
5) Uninstall the Microsoft eHome remote/receiver or Microsoft eHome Infared Transceiver or similar driver.
6) Restart the game and it should be good.
This is the way I have fixed multiple problems with many games including Fallout 3 and now Blockland, I hope it works for anyone else having the problem.

Yeah, you might want to try looking for the name variations Zenloth posted. If you see anything close to "Microsoft eHome...", try removing it. If you're not sure its the same device as the one we're referring to, try Googling the name of the one you found so you make sure you don't remove something important.

I have this problem in several games, it's not unique to BL, so that won't help.
