Author Topic: I can't connect to a LAN server.  (Read 4495 times)

Hi. I've been playing Blockland for awhile, but I recently got a new computer, and got the latest updates and everything. My brother and I usually play it on our LAN (actually, it's not a LAN, it's a wireless network).

Anyway, it's always worked perfectly, but I can't get it to work now.
I installed Blockland v12 and RTB 1.04 on both machines, we're connected to the network, firewalls are either disabled or allowing Blockland(I tried with both fully disabled, didn't work either), and I've tried being connected to the internet, and not connected to the internet. I've set everything to "LAN" including game type and connection type.

I can make a LAN game, but when I try to join it on my brothers computer, it shows up and says its a LAN game, but it says "joining (insert IP), error, this does not appear to be a LAN game" or something similar.

Does anyone know the problem? I'm really frustrated.

Thanks.

I installed Blockland v12 and RTB 1.04 on both machines,
I see the Problem.
You need to be Connected to the same IP to host a LAN game
plus RTB can't connect to a Retail Blockland LAN game

RTB 1.04?
It's an old total-modification version that was for the older beta of Blockland. It's no longer in use.

And Blockland v13/v12 cannot connect with older versions.

What the?! The RTB site said that 1.04 is the latest. Where can I get the latest RTB? Since both computers have it, shouldn't it work?

Sorry to double post, but I just found out I have 3.2, not 1.04. I have no idea where that came from.
