Mass banning yesterday?

For some reason, I saw countless users being banned left and right. Some I saw then I refreshed the page and banned. They did something but around 11 people banned and they weren't about 2 hours earlier.

For example, Gamefandan. He wasn't banned around 6:00, I got off to watch Cake Boss, and when I came back he was banned.
