Author Topic: What is the easiest to use scripting language for addons  (Read 883 times)

I don't know how to make add-ons yet as you can see. I want to know which language would be the easiest to learn.

Please help.

Try starting by learning C++, it's very similar to Torque Script so it's a good language to start with if you are planning to be a scripter on Blockland.

TorqueScript is much more lenient than C++ and other languages on things like cleaning up memory and would probably be the easiest one to learn before moving on to anything else.

JavaScript is super easy and similar to TorqueScript.

This guy is asking for the easiest language to make add-ons with, not what's similar to it.

1997man, the only language you can make add-ons in Blockland with is Torquescript.

Ok do you know where a good tutorial is for Torque script?

Here's a good place to start

After that, just find other add-ons that you know what they do, then look at the script to see how they do it. You probably won't understand Torque in one day.

+10 brownie points.
