How do you all have Ps?

I've been on this forum for a while now, and I've noticed that most people here seem to have photoshop. Personally, I don't see how this happened, that you all spent thousands of $ / £ on a photo editting software. I'm guessing most of you guys got a cheaper version or got it illegally. If there is a cheaper version, could someone please give me the the link? If not culd someone explain to me how everyone has it.

Generally, I'd imagine anyone on here with full versions of Photoshop probably worked to pay for it.
Other I'd imagine use cheaper/free programs, which may not be as brilliant as Photoshop, but work fine enough. I do know that a few Forumers use Paint.Net for picture editing, myself included.

It is possible to perform many of Photoshop's functions using free image-editing software packages such as paint.net or GIMP.

Of course, an alternative is to purchase an educational license of Photoshop which are sold at significantly cheaper price, but retain all the features of the full version. You will have to prove you are in school, however.
