Garry's Mod Help

Hay guys, I need help real quick...
I have looked up EVERYWHERE on the internet and I cant solve this issue...

I just bought me both HL2 (Half-Life 2) and Garry's Mod BUT after installing everything, nothing works, not even HL2.

BEFORE I BOUGHT IT: I ran a system check to see if I can run it "systemrequirments.com" and it says I can run it...

But every time I try working with it, it shows me the main menu for a split second then the screen goes black... Can anyone help me out plz... I dont wana feel like I wasted my moneys...

Try running it with the -autoconfig extension.

Apperently I dont have that... :/

Go to the games list, right click the game > Properties > Launch options > type -autoconfig into the box.
