For me, it is difficult.
I have yet to even make one working vehicle. The scripting part of it is a real pain, and I'm not sure if I know the basics of the modeling process either.

Notepad and Notepad++ are the most simple programs to use.
However, you need to know C++/TorqueScript language in order to do anything with it.
