Author Topic: Possible to keep Dedicated running while computer is asleep?  (Read 738 times)

Ok, I know this is a REALLY handicapped question, but I Googled it and found nothing.

Is there any possible way to keep a dedicated server running while the computer is in sleep mode?

Simple question.

Have you tried?

Yes. But I cannot tell if my server is still up when the computer is asleep.

Yes. But I cannot tell if my server is still up when the computer is asleep.

The way I meant by trying is hosting in sleep mode and asking the client if they are still connected.

I think the internet connection might be disconnected if its in sleep.

You should try looking for energy-saver motherboards if you want an eco-friendly dedi.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte EP43-DS3L, it automatically turns down the CPU when its idling and turns it up to the max when necessary.

I'll try this, someone please join my Blockland server and I will attempt to put my computer on sleep mode.

I will wake it up, then please tell me if you have been disconnected or the server crashes.

It is up. "MackTheHunter's [HB] Application Server".
