Author Topic: Brokified Tablet - Any Help?  (Read 1012 times)

This happened a while ago. Then I read the post in the topic about the computer falling out of a second-story window (way to go.) It said that they have a computer shop in their area that will attempt to fix any computer. That made me think; a long, long while back, I had a tablet. It randomly shut off one day. It still doesn't turn back on. It's been sitting in my attic for a year or two now. So, here's what it does: It has a little lighted switch on it where you turn it on. I push it forward, it snaps back (Normal,) the switch lights green, I hear a small buzzing noise like it's attempting to start up, but the screen stays black. The buzzing noise is different from the fan noise when normally started. I've tried with power, without power, plugged into the wall, not plugged into the wall, I had my dad take out the battery, etc. Any help? I'd like to get it back up and running, though I don't have high expectations.

It was an accident ;-;

I'm probably not going to put a lot of work into this, though. It's old-ish, and I have a smexy (-ish) desktop. Thanks for the suggestion, Menen.

Totally Off Topic: Where to extract SENTs in GMod? I want the harmless Companion Cube.

I remember that!  That thing was cool.
Anyways, I don't know much about com/puters, but in another topic somebody said something about a 'fried GPU.'  Because that might be the problem.  Don't take my word for it, it's just a guess.

Your hard drive is fried. You can A) spend an assload of money to get it repaired.
Or B) buy a new hard drive.

Question--do special hard drives go to special computers, or are they basically universal?

Take it to that computer shop.

Okay, guys. Thanks!
