Author Topic: Damnit, Ubuntu.  (Read 568 times)

So recently I installed Ubuntu on my new hard drive today, and I really like it so far, but I've really got some problems that I need help with.
  • Blockland runs like stuff, I dont know why but it just does.
  • Steam crashes when trying to install a game
  • Minecraft crashes within thirty seconds. Ive read some topics about it but I really havnt found a solution yet.
I dont know how many people here have Ubuntu, so if I dont get much help is there any other place I can post to get help?
I'd really like to use Ubuntu over Windows, because I just like the feeling a lot better, but until I get these things solved I really dont want to use it.

Download graphics drivers.

Where?
I've got an ATI Radeon X1300
edit: well, ive tried one of atis linux packages but it gives me some error.

As much as I want to use it instead of Windows I just can't bother because of the trouble to get something to work while in Windows it'll work right off the bat. :(

Then what do I do?

This. I tend to shoot for Nvidia and Intel, so I haven't really had any problems with any Linux distros.

I would post on the Ubuntu Forums, seeing that they are an astute group.
