Just filled out the paperwork to get my AAS in architectural technology, probably going to transfer into civil engineering.
Game design is the new liberal arts. From the quantity of people I know going into game design you would think there's a global shortage of game designers.
Oh well. Good luck, take some programming classes so if games doesn't work out you can write software for a bank or a call center or something. Sounds boring but I'm sure it beats splitting a can of cat food with your pet. You can always write games on the side and Valve seems to love publishing indie titles.
Fortunately for me I have several connections to the film industry so at the very least I can get a job on some stuffty movie game remake thing.
Oh oh oh, btw. I was wandering around during lunch today and found out my college is just down the street from the LA Church of Scientology. Lol'd
