Blockland could not detect any suitable display device

ok.. i installed windows 7 on my laptop recently. Since then i have re-installed blockland. The only problem is, it wont run. When i start blockland it sais,

" Blockland could not detect any suitable display device - Most likely
because you do not have the latest drivers installed for your video
hardware.

For help on updating your drivers, please visit
http://www.blockland.us/driverupdate."

Blockland ran perfectly fine on windows XP and neither me nor my dad understand the problem. I need EXPERT advice. ALSO, my dad checked to see if my video drivers are, "up to date", and they are.
My dad is a computer Whiz and he can't figure this out.

You cant just get another display device... It isn't like a program, it is a chip inside the computer that has to be periodically updated so it can run games like blockland. Mine is "up-to-date" and it still wont run blockland.. Please help. I really want to play blockland again.

Does periodically updated mean 'smashed with a hammer, torn out and replaced?'
That's what i though would be the good solution but oh well.
