new mario games are easy. too easy. they are far too generous on free lives and ower ups. pokemon however needs more strategy to win each battle.

Indeed, I find it a little bit harder to level up in the new games than than R/S/E.
But then again, I can just transfer a bunch of exp shares and level 100s I got through cheating.
