--- Quote from: Ryuu on April 11, 2010, 04:44:59 PM ---There's no hard, easy, medium modes for Pokemon games. --- End quote --- I meant for the starters. I didn't mean that it automatically chooses a difficulty. Chikorita can be a bit tough at times because it doesn't learn good moves until later on. Totodile can also be like that but a bit easier than Chikorita as it learns Bubble early. Cyndaquil learns Ember early, the strongest move of other starters at that point in time. |

Technically, you're incorrect. Basically, the fire type is awesome, kicks ass and has few resistances to fire. This would generally make the game easy for you. Water, has only 2 weaknesses, but a lot of the time they're stuffty like Mudkip. Mudkip and its family have only one true weakness, but they are so badly balanced, they suck. Feraligatr was a physical water type. back in the day, all water types were special. His only good move would be Thrash. This would be normal difficulty. Grass. With many weaknesses and all the bug and flying pokemon generally at the beginning you are forgeted over royally until you are able to get your grubby hands on another pokemon. This is hard mode. |

Plus Chikorita owners may be forgeted with Pidgeys and Beedrills and stuff like that. Totodile doesn't come up with many weaknesses and probably the only people that may be able to knock it out would be the rival. Cyndaquil levels up fast thus making it learn moves faster with Ember learned early on. I should move all my Pokemon to Pearl then restart the game with Chikorita as a starter :D. Yeah I should try that... |
