It grips prey with its pincers until the prey is torn in half. What it can't tear, it tosses far.

In the Pokemon special Red was almost devoured by a bunch of bellsprout and weepinbels.

Pokemon is really creepy when you get past the kiddy-parts. In the manga, apparently people kill eachother with Pokemon (makes sense.)
