An idea for an elevator, which might work if it's possible

Well, people always thing moving bricks, but I've though of it this way.
Why not make a vehicle that doesn't respond to gravity?

Like a plate or something, with no mount points.
So basically, with no gravity you can use velocity events or whatever to make it move up or down.

Possible or not, I don't know.

There's a way to simulate an elevator. It takes like, 3,000 bricks though.
