Highlight Bricks Stuck

I have a large creation on a map, 30000 blocks, and somehow highlight got stuck on it. I tried clearing all the bricks and reloading them, but the highlight just comes back. Also, if I try to paint over them again (pain), the colors are lighter than they should be. How do I fix this?!?
