Oro tried Sword and Shield some more, I really like him. His item w/o sheath ability is so awesome. I placed a line of barrel bombs and then threw a knife at one and sploded jaggi :D Then he tried to run away but I threw another knife at him, he was paralyzed, and i was like SLASH.
Question: Are some items only usable for some classes? For example, can longsword throw knives, and can SnS throw bombs? (because in the demo, longsword has no knives and SnS has no bombs)

you can use all those items with whatever class.
as long as you can make them yourself
also,
honey+potion=mega potion
paintberry+Sap plant=paint bomb
herb+mushroom=potion
Ivy+spiderweb=net(havent used it yet)
Net+trap tool=pitfall trap(it makes a temporary hole for him to get stuck :D)
Stone+bone=pickaxe
thats about all the items you can craft in the demo version.
all those items are within immediate-near immediate grasp.
When you get bored and decide to run around and adventure, you learn these things. pickaxe is used to retrieve crystals, once i get that far, i'll learn some more

do i get honey from those weird looking gray beehive things? and what does paintbomb do? and dung bomb, never understood those bombs.

you get honey from those weird looking gray beehive things on a stick, yes.
dung bomb is supposed to drive other dinosaurs away from the monster you hit with the bomb. paintbomb tracks the monster that you hit with the bomb.
