I'm thinking lopping off the forepart where the dining hall is, and replacing it with a small hangar that goes through the ship.

That highlighted segment is what I call the "shell." I've made that extend to fully cover the rest of the front up to that other line, instead of just being a hallway. But I don't know where to go to from there. I lack the building skills to make the shell slope down gracefully to meet with the rest at the bow.

As com and I discussed, the Argos is much too small to be a carrier. Think about it, the Argos is maybe half the size of a modern navy frigate. Carriers are enormous. You can't just slap vehicle spawns on it and call it a carrier.
