Usually your ISP will provide you with a DNS (domain name system) to connect to, however sometimes routers can auto-resolve it. Also if you cannot find the setting for it you can just use a free one (such as I believe OpenDNS).

I believe the job of the DNS is to resolve URLs (http://blockland.us) into an IP which the computer can then connect to(Blockland.us - 70.86.174.34). If you are having no trouble with web browsing, don't go changing the DNS settings; you can set them on your computer and so the ones on your router can be obsolete.

I thought as of V14/13 it was only necessary to do port 28000, I saw kompressor say it somewhere...
