My chat freezes for no reason, any help?

Right, so my problem is, is that sometimes when I'm in a server my chat just disappears. I can still talk and people can still see me talk be I can't see other people talk.

Details
I am a mac  
It sometimes happens right when I join and sometimes in the middle of the server
It fixes itself when I re-join

So, any help?

Ask, yourself why the chat freezes up. I mean, after all, you are the computer itself.

Anyway, do macs have pageup/down keys? press pagedown, or pg dn.
or, go into options. theres a setting in there for a similar thing.

Anyway when I press page up or down I can only see previous chat. I can see any more chat that is said.
