And why did the US even depend on foreign oil? Someone tell me why they never thought about drilling on their OWN land?

We have a limited, hard to get to oil supply, while the Middle East has a huge near the surface oil supply that they were selling to everybody.

Back when i went to chorpus christi, there were hundreds of oil rigsout on the ocean, but not in viewing distance durin the day.

But at night, if you sit on the beach, you tiny dozens of flashing lights, like stats, made by the rigs.

You can barley see little black spots on the horizon during the day.
