*sips*

so yeah what's with that giant robot over there, kid?

Send the game back to the store, tell them it doesn't work, if they don't accept refunds tell them to forget off...and have a nice day.

Yes but there will eventually be a way around it. Companies need to stop crying about it. I guarantee that there will never be a game that won't be pirated (ones people want, mind you.)

everyone hates DRM's and stuff.
but didn't you have to get on the net at least once to verify your blockland key?
even for single player.

Except the master server is rarely down and Blockland has the option of offline play. If you lose your connection to the internet while playing ACII you'll be kicked off. You won't even get to save.

Bought it on Steam. Even if I didn't, it would be registered to my account the second I installed it so it wouldn't get a refund anyway.

It's funny because it didn't work.

The Steam forums usually has stuff about troubleshooting games that you bought on Steam. It took me forever to get Burnout Paradise working on my compy because I had to install some obscure Microsoft Live program buried deep in the game's files for the game to work at all and the Steam forums helped w/ that immensely.

*cough*

Is there any way to check if the server is actually down or if it's just me?

Ask someone else to load the game would be my guess.

Yeah, I was gonna say; there are many other ways to do it.

its a 1-player game, why the heck would you need an internet connection to play

For Security Reasons. :cookieMonster:

Ubisoft are infamous for this. Just don't buy games from them.

Ubisoft: Now worse in DRM than EA!
