everyone hates DRM's and stuff.but didn't you have to get on the net at least once to verify your blockland key?even for single player.
Send the game back to the store, tell them it doesn't work, if they don't accept refunds tell them to forget off...and have a nice day.

Bought it on Steam. Even if I didn't, it would be registered to my account the second I installed it so it wouldn't get a refund anyway.

Yes but there will eventually be a way around it. Companies need to stop crying about it. I guarantee that there will never be a game that won't be pirated (ones people want, mind you.)
Is there any way to check if the server is actually down or if it's just me?
its a 1-player game, why the heck would you need an internet connection to play
