Gmod crashes alot

I have this problem with gmod. Here's how it occurs: I open gmod, and go to some map. The maps load okay. The crash happens when I have 2 or more ragdolls or ncs, or more than 10 physics props. If I shoot an npc or a prop, the audio will skip for a few seconds and gmod will close. How do I fix this?

Do I do something in the startup options? I've already tried the -dxlevel with a crapload of numbers, and it hasn't helped at all.
