Okay, so it works nice and smooth then when my sister connects to the interweb my conection to xbox live lags. Any way to fix this?

get a better router.
or, call your router provider.

Fix it with more lag.

Lag it until it can't lag anymore.

Then your problem is fixed, and so is your problem.

you guys are splitting the connection, she gets half of the internet, you get the other half.
end result: both halves are slow as forget, especially when downloading
