--- Quote from: Celtic Wolf on September 30, 2011, 09:40:50 PM ---You know what would be awesome? Some huge vehicle warfare map like Caspian Border with like three T-90s per team, several assault helicopters, and a stuffload of jeeps, but also urban areas or nonvehicle accessible areas. EDIT: Posted a new "Raise projectile speed" topic. Please support! http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=171715.0 --- End quote --- Oooh I can already see everyone driving/flying out alone, the ones who don't get in a vehicle crying, and the few ones that use T-90's and Hinds properly dominating the battlefield. :) --- Quote from: RedGajin on September 30, 2011, 10:34:36 PM ---I think it would just be awesome to have a huge map. If you have ever played Battlefield 1942, something like those, would be so much love. --- End quote --- Paradise sized? --- Quote from: Celtic Wolf on September 30, 2011, 11:23:00 PM ---Wedge said: You can always use a raycast for an instant hit of course. If you want to simulate the bullet taking longer just stick a tiny delay in between firing the gun and firing the raycast. Of course this means you don't get projectiles, you'll have to just have no bullets or use a different method to show a bullet. --- End quote --- I tried to find a way of changing the limit, didn't work, I used raycasts, too fast, I added delays to the raycasts, was weird on short distances and still too fast on very high distances, I fired raycasts that fired delayed raycasts to simulate the flight path of the bullet. That worked - in theory and singleplayer. When I tested it in multiplayer on my server it seemed like half of the raycast-bullets just disappeard in mid-air for no reason. |

Railgun is done. I'll probably place the players inside the turrets so they can't look outside. I don't want to spend hours on making changes to the turrets just that the player can aim in first person view. Third person view should do it. |

k. just an idea for your next map if you do make another. C: |
