Author Topic: Gravity Cat's Add-On Dump - Particle_ItemSparkles released!  (Read 2253054 times)

I have a suggestion with the new paradise map. A war torn version perhaps?

He would have to remodel all the buildings.

What about this:

Police vest:
  - Full protection against small rounds (pistols and SMG's)
  - Can stand around 15 hits
  - When damaged no protection

Army vest:
  - Nearly full protection against bigger rounds (assault rifles)
  - Can stand around 30 hits
  - When damaged only very small protection

Dragonskin:
  - Full protection against bigger rounds (assault rifles)
  - Protection against sniper rifle rounds
  - Can stand around 50 hits
  - When damaged only small protection

Of course, head and possibly limbs will not be covered, right? And make sure that damage is still possible from other things (CHARLIE BIT MY FINGER! or OWWWW! ZOMBIE BITE!)

As well...
MAKE IRON SIGHTS SLOW YOU DOWN!

Thats probably just coloration in the fur. /Derp
...I know... It was a joke -_-

Anyway, I think the vest's are little too protective, especially the dragon skin's capability of stoping sniper rounds.. I'm sure a .50 cal could easily rip through the armor, considering it can peirce through a few inches of solid steel :3

Make it so that you only run about 3/4 as fast as normal.

Of course limbs won't be covered :P And yes, someday I'll do that...

With small rounds I mean the 9mm (Glock 19, STK CPW, P90). The .45 ACP (M1911, TDI Vector) and .44 Magnum would do damage.
With bigger rounds I mean the 5.56 NATO (XCR, SA80).
With sniper rounds I mean the 7.62 NATO (G3, M21, M700).
And I don't think I need to mention the other used rounds in this pack? :P

Only 1/2.

Ahh. I was just thinking snipers in general, not just from this pack :P In that case, it seems good to me.

Why make iron sights slower in the first place? If I was looking down my gun I could run just as fast as without doing so.

Hm, good argument. Why shall the playertype get slower automatically when the player could walk instead of run?

lol that's what I thought. the only problem you couldn't see the ground, and you would trip.  Would it be a good Idea to be able to trip under the right impacted while in iron sight? instead off going slow that is, you would be very vulnerable.

I've done that with my bb gun before, actually, and you are right. But, generally the faster you're moving the less steady you are, making your shots less accurate.

Yea, but it doesn't make the bullets go flying in a wider spread, it just makes it harder to aim. I don't like it when you run and it makes your bullets go crazy and there not as damaging. in blockland that is, and ow, ill bet that trip hurt.

I hate that too! Because you are moving, your bullets hurt less? I mean WTF? ... Oh, and I saw that edit ;3

Who was so intelligent to decerease damage while moving? o.O

As far as I know, Solarflare was the creator of that code :| Either him or Bushido...

Only 1/2.

P90 fires 5.7x28mm.
Also, Dragonskin isn't super duper "omg stop all dah bullets" as it's advertised. If it were, the army would be fielding it. It failed certaint test, provijng that it doesn't actually stop full penatration. It also weighs 20 more pounds than the interceptor so, there should be some agility loss if you do add it.

Currently, the IOTV is the standard vest for the Army in Iraq, the Intereceptor was thrown out awhile ago for the OTV and then that for the ITOV. I'm not sure what Afghanistan uses because, they use a different camouflage. The CIRAS is standard for Force Recon and possibly MEU. The actual standard for marines is the MTV, Modular Tactical Vest.

I personally think that my idea is better but, it's your mod.
