Even though the homing sounds like a good idea, i think i go with the machine guns only.

However, it would be cool if you also made a AA turret with only homing missiles (with an incredible reload time or limited ammo (RTB pref for amount)). :)

A turret with machineguns and rockets would be so op it wouldn't even be funny. Unless it only had 2-4 rockets, then that would be fine. Most of BL's planes need the user to fly directly at the target, so rockets would just make killing them 100x easier.
