To be honest, the weapon pack would be MUCH cooler if it raycasts, that would make it look more realistic too.

Bullets take time to travel. They don't hit instantly.

The M21 is a real weapon, it's a variant of the M14 built to be a sniper. The gun in the game isn't an M21 though so you're partially right.
