The binoculars just got more useful. Now they show the distance to the point you're looking at (in meters, don't ask why :P). If that point is over 1000 meters away, it shows the distance in kilometers (for example 1.5 km).

If you ask now "How's that useful?"



It's useful for sniping. Especially when you're not used to one of the rifles, it's very hard to hit when you have to guess. And since you can hear a bullet flying trough the air, you usually can forget it on long(er) distances when the first bullet missed.

Well, Digital came up with the idea of showing the distance with the binoculars. Now that I made it, why not using it for sniping? :P

Just tried it with Ladezkik and hit with the first round on ~715 meters (Truvelo .50). We also tried with ~800m, but the Truvelo is either too inaccurate for that distance, or the fog is too thick :P

They are. Guessing the distance and how far you have to aim up to compensate the drop on the blockheads size is hard and inaccurate. When you actually know the exact distance it's alot easier imo. Digital and I just hosted a little TDM, and it just felt alot easier to aim with the binoculars as help. But it also did not just felt easier, it actually was easier.

At least for me. I think I achieved more headshots on average than ever before...
