On a seriouse note, I just took another look at the smoke grenade. Since you can have more than 1 in your inventory, 60 seconds of smoke seems a bit long, considering how quickly things tend to play out in a DM situation. Will there be an RTB pref for how long the smoke goes?

No. Just tell people not to spam them. If they don't do, forcekill, kick or ban them.
Same goes for the flashgrenades/etc.

One of my favorite moments is when you and Moon where crusing around, Moonlight went into the city while you stayed to snipe. I snuck up behind you and shot you with the Striker, killing you. Then, moments later, Moonlight comes out of the city with a Jeep and runs me over.
