Smooth in terms of "you can see the aim moving in 0.2 timescale"? Then no. If you mean jerky in terms of "turning over 30° to the sides with each shot", no.

The recoil is... lets call it sharp. It's not hacky or something. It only goes to the sides because upwards seems to be impossible. Shotguns have quite alot recoil. Same goes for the bigger rifles (As someone said earlier, the M249 is a bitch to shoot :P).
And I think the changing of the players camera pitch is impossible because certain functions got blocked after someone made aimbots. At least that is what I think. Changing the pitch is actually possible clientsided, but it doesn't seem to be possible changing it from the server to client.
