Actually, you have to. Otherwise, it doesn't fall under the backup copy rule.

Super Mario World is an awesome game. You should definitely get the ROM if you haven't played it before (though playing things on their original console is always the best).

Yea, SMW is one of the best, I still think Super mario BROS* 3 is the best mario.

they dont have the same laws as music and movies. pirating is extremely vague as every media has different laws, or even none at all.
cartridge games before 1981 dont even have laws and rules at all. regardless of patents.
may or may not be pirating depending on how companies respond, but lack of responding is all they tend to do so no one knows.
