After you deconstruct the wagon make sure you remove the meeting hall zone on top of it.

You should probably empty the wagon. Before trying to deconstruct it. If you do break down the a loaded wagon then stowing away all the food in underground stockpiles should be your priority since it rots above ground if it's not in the wagon or indoors.

Dwarfs will walk through restricted ones if there is no other way to their destination but platering the ground with the restricted designation is silly anyway. Dwarves move inside when you remove the meeting hall on the wagon and there is stuff to do inside. Putting the meeting hall inside will make idle dwarves party there. Good places for a meeting hall are zoos, dining rooms, wells and statue gardens, pretty much anywhere there is lots of pretty furniture.

Oh figglestuff

I always got to like the second part where a caravan of extra dwarves would come...

I cant zoom in or out

You could zoom out in the opengl series. The opengl enhancements haven't been merged with the main game yet so you can't zoom in our out yet.

Going up and down layers is ctrl+< or > depending on which direction you want to go in.

A massive zerg rush by underground life caused a massive spike in the monthly death count and caused lots of tantrums, they were all hilarious but one in particular caught my attention.

A sworddwarf on a bridge ( A huge bridge that goes high in the air) to tantrum and get into a fight with some local dwarves and the human caravan. The dwarf stabbed and got his sword lodged into a guard for the caravan and entered wrestling mode. The dwarf threw the guard off the bridge and he smashed into a wall, exploded, and fell to the bottom of the bridge. The dwarf then got into a brawl with a few masons making minor adjustments to the bridge, after incapacitating one another dwarf threw a punch at him and made him dodge.

We then needed a janitorial team at sector 14, the bottom of the bridge.

I cant find any cave that has good soil for my farms..any tips?

Wait...
