Have you made farms and have irrigated ground? Yo need to set them to grow the food in all the seasons on the farm itself.

You need to make the ground muddy or wet.

Best way to do that in caves is to find a water source where you are digging in... make a big room beside the area with the water... dig into the water area and let it flood the room.

Most of these are only ponds and ponds usually disapear later on, so work fast before the water dries up.


Farming seems to be the best way for steady food. All i use is Plump Helmets and im currently on overstock with food now :P Been going for 3 years.

I have bedrooms for all 31 of my dwarves few nobles.. small military going... creating iron stuff right now too :D

Not really sure what i should do now.

I really need to know how to make stairs! Someone tell me how you make stairs!

Dropshock, forget your platinum, i have adamantine and slade, but the only way to use slade is to glitch the game, because it's the strongest metal, but it is supposed to be unmineable, so adamantine is the strongest metal in the game, also the most valuble.


I just hope i dont dig into the demon pit....

Slade is good for heavy blunt weapons, adamantine is good for light sharp weapons.
A slade maul is the strongest weapon you can get.

But you need to glitch the game to mine slade.

You cant mine it because it is supposed to be the demon's home.


Also, beware when mining adamantine, you could break into the shining pit.

Yeah well lots of the pit stuff has changed in the new version. I was in a chat room just after it was released and 30 minutes in somebody had already hit hfs, they were trying to dig out big adamantine pillars that were in a sea of magma.
