I don't read SomethingAwful very regularly (I haven't got around to having my password sent to me again), I actually got it off of the front page of Rock Paper Shotgun.
And I would agree that Super Mario Bros isn't that entertaining anymore, especially since there are hundreds of other platformers that are better. It might have been amazing at one time but two decades later the only thing it has going for it is the nostalgia.
It's definitely fun to see what it might have been like with the other characters though.

The funny part is Nintendo hardly files DMCA claims on Newgrounds games at all.
