Hi guys. Just came home from holiday.
So I haven't been on for a couple of weeks. What's happened while I was gone?

Alright, I have a big update to discuss. I went out of town unexpectedly for a few days, I'll be returning on Friday/Saturday.

Plans:
APETA: After Previous Estimated Time to Arrival
ETA: 1 Week
I'm going to spend the next week or so on a "Efficient/Final" pathfinding system. Bots and such usually take up the most of my time when I am working on a project. I'm going to create multiple separate modules for this, each Module will contain a different "Personality" for their Bot. These "Personalities" will most likely be "Aggressive","Defensive","Guard" and "Passive". Server Moderators will be able to spawn these with a single command, a example can be found at the bottom of this post.

ETA: 1 Week/APETA
I'll create GUI's, Crafting Schematics, Plants, Structures, and such.

ETA: 1 Day/APETA

I'll begin to populate the map with Animals, Points of Interest, and Vegetation.

ETA: 2-4 Days[/i]
Public server will be hosted, and Stranded will be distributed to selected third parties for public hosting, and distribution.

All of the stated functions will only be completed one my resource requirements are met, this includes Models, and textures.

Command: /DCB [UniqueID/Name] [Flags] [PermaSpawn]
Note: UniqueID is for pre-created Bots.
Ex: $UID[1] = "Vendor1A";

Des, I can do whatever you want.

You should make the bots do things according to player actions. If players are more aggressive to the dogs, the dogs may choose to attack that player in a group of 2 or 3 randomly, not just wander around in circles.

They should do a check for players in a large radius, and run from strong players, and maybe choose to attack weaker ones, as well as do a check if any camps are nearby.

This way players can't go on animal killing sprees, because then the animals may choose to attack that player.

Well, here is a list of models anyone can attempt to make. The Stranded team is open to anyone, just create a model and post it.

Models:
Note: From what I understand, plants are modeled via the "Planes" tool, or very thin boxes. Also, the Plants and Trees must have a collision box.
  • Boar - Football shaped with tusks.
  • Hemp Plant
  • Berry Bush
  • Melon Plant
  • Banana Tree
  • Bamboo Plant
  • Hand-held Torch
  • Bamboo Spear
  • PickAxe/Axe - The "Metal" pieces must be color-shiftable.

Are you going to make it where you can make your own group like the Fallout 3 RP you stopped making?

Just letting people know, the "Hemp" is for rope making :p

Tribes.

Hemp is going to be for Rope or for Smoking, Marijuana acts as a minor anesthetic and in so it will "Heal" the player a minor amount.

Ok kool and can you change the name?

Please

Clearly it would be suffice to create a whole new topic.

Derp.

I've created a Modification Blog. The blog will contain frequent posts about my scripts/modifications, I look forward to answering any questions you may have.

Oh I would love to be able to use stranded. I am sorry I couldn't contribute any models for this. I cannot do trees because I have no idea how they work. I am terrible at smooth things like animals, and the pickaxe I would make probably wouldn't be the best.

For bamboo spear, could you use makanix's model? So for pickaxe and axe?
