I'd like to disagree on that.
It's awfully dreadful now. Alt tabbing totally crashes the ingame overlay to the point where I actually have to restart Steam if I've played a non-steam game, alt tabbed and want to play something like TF2.

Sometimes it works for me. other times the whole UI randomly closes.
