--- Quote from: astrobear on May 09, 2010, 10:28:54 PM ---This is really nice and accurate and all, but I really don't see anything that impressive about it. It's mostly a hollow structure. Maybe you could add some other buildings, and roads to make this a city thing. Yeah, but back on topic. I think you should add some interior to a few floors, and make the city (if you take in my suggestion) into a zombie build. Then I'd <3 you. No, wait, even better. Make it into a community project. Then there would be an enormous city. Sorry for a semi-odd mood thingy going on, I'm kind of half-asleep. Yeah, but take this all into mind. --- End quote --- So then make yourself something more impressive if you can, no offense. I've done the streets thing (haven't you watched all the pics ?) but i'm limited to only add box buildings to it cause the brick limit. If there was never a limit i'll do the entire city accurate ! --- Quote from: Lordy Lord on May 09, 2010, 10:32:40 PM ---It's nice. But how about you try building a building that actually isn't just boxes stacked upon of each other. That is was the Empire State Building actually is, and the World Trade Centre were just two big boxes. Perhaps try to build the Chrysler Building, that would take more skill. And it would be much more interesting to look at. --- End quote --- Empire State isn't just boxes stacked upon each other. It has different forms. The World Trade Center even being just a tall box it was hard as hell to make. Until you don't try to build something of that size you cannot say it is just boxes and you won't understand it. I'll do Crysler building next time ;). --- Quote from: Oasis on May 09, 2010, 11:07:36 PM ---You should build the whole Manhattan area, pre 9/11, and hope the brick count fits. :P Anyways, awesome job, and I really would like to know how you do it. --- End quote --- 1-The whole manhattan is huge. It's 33km long. I know it, i've been there. 2-I've already built the pre 9/11, the World Trade Center. 3-Blockland has the 128.000 brick limit, the WTC is about 118.000 and only the Empire State is about 42.000. So it is impossible to recreate Manhattan. 4-People have disliked the idea of adding cube buildings to recreate the streets saying that this ruined the build. So i'm not gonna make more and instead i'll be making skyscrapers individually. 5-To do all of this you don't need only a bit of skill and good bricks, but the most important: effort, dedication and time. |

I figured you can't build the whole thing. :/ Anyways, nice. |

If blockland hadn't had limits then i would be able to do the whole thing :( . But don't worry, i think that my builds are as accurate as possible ;) so you will probably enjoy them. |

Frankly, every traditional building is a box, or a box with other protrusions. Though the Empire State Building is just a series of set-back boxes, it is still much more interesting than The World Trade Centre. (not glad it was blown up, but atleast we don't have to look at it anymore.) Though I am glad to hear that you are taking on The Chrysler Building. |

^ yes, Chrysler building will be the next. It will take more time since it is more difficult even being shorter than the Empire State. |
