I heard this story on the radio that these newly wed parents played D&D so much that they neglected EVERYTHING. There were piles of garbage bags throughout the ENTIRE house. And the baby's hair was matted with cat piss. And there were cat stuff EVERYWHERE. Soo.. The moral I learned from the story... DON'T PLAY D&D...

I don't think that this is a problem with DnD so much as a problem with the parents...
