If you see the weapon close you only see hands if you look at it from a far you

Hi guys I am making a new weapon, but when I see it close only the hands show and when you are far away you only see the weapon! I need help PLEASE!!!

Hi guys I am making a new weapon, but when I see it in first person only the hands show and when I am in thhird person only the weapon shows. I can't figure out why, so can somebody PLEASE help me. Thank you. Here are some pics:
