It's not that they suck, it is that you have a different perspective on things. When you first joined/When you were younger, you probably thought possibilities were endless. Once you age and learn scripting and modeling, A gun isn't an epic awesome thing anymore, just a cool model and minor features. When you first joined, it didn't matter about the features, it was just awesome. There were times when people were amazed by slate ending, when everyone thought the bedroom ended with a giant cliff. and the slopes didn't loop. Where you had no clue what spamming was and when chatting and arguing was of minimum importance.
When you grow older, the outlook on things changes. The bedroom no longer holds the edge of the earth far out there. Flying through the slopes in hope to find some kind of colossal mountain to reside inside was your number one goal, where people arguing over IDs and other games was not even a thing you remembered.
When you grow older and stick with the game for a long time, the bedroom is just an interior with looping ground. The slopes is just the same mountains over and over, and you know that colossal mountain will never be found. Where people asking for admin and people talking about Halo puts your nerves on end.
If I could give up scripting and modeling in exchange for the feeling of when you first joined the game, I easily would.
