Only in Hardcore mode, which nobody but snipers and medics (two cheapest classes) play. Normal mode is free of all the camping friends, mostly.

I dunno, I find it rather boring. as far as BC2, I'll have to borrow it from someone and see what it's about, but at this point I'm ready to give that up and stick with Mass Effect type games where stratgegy is at least some small factor in gameplay.

The most strategy that'd ever be needed would be "hide behind this thing until your health regenerates then go out and shoot"

In SOCOM, I actually try to get people organized, and what do I get? I actually get people that properly revive and storm buildings. But I mostly get the common friend, who'll run right by you and guns ablazing, run into a room. Then comes the .50 cal sniper shot and then he needs to be revived.
