That, and despising one games add-ons and loving another for no apparent reason just makes you seem like a giant ass. No, I don't hate TF2. I have both games, and I play them equally. Both are awesomely done games. TF2 has some awesome gameplay. But I like Halo's gameplay and the storyline. TF2 is an instant "forget you all, I'ma blow your damn heads off!", which, personally, I quite enjoy at times. Halo, on the other hand, is more of a "Okay, sneak around here, grab this big ass gun I like... jump over the rock.... and go loving rambo. HAZZAA!!!!!! Okay, steal that vehicle and go nuts!" and the added storyline makes it an equally good game. I'm not bashing on either game, no matter how much it seems like I am. For those TF2 haters, forget you. For those Halo haters, forget you too. Blockland is an expanding game, that is more then capable of accepting add-ons from two awesome games. Don't want the add-ons? Don't download them or use them. Plain and simple. I'm getting tired of the mass amounts of rants shooting from one side to the other. Blockland has practically infinite space to add everything from EVERY GAME out there! Why limit it? |

If a feature, say a weapon from another game is created and released as an Add-on for Blockland for the sole purpose of simply being able to use that weapon in-game, then it never should be released in any way. The weapons in TF2 get through the community's "Keep other games out of blockland" filter because they are able to serve relevant purposes in DMs because they are based off of a very reliable TDM source. I Love Halo and TF2. The reasons that there aren't any 'good' Halo Add-ons is that Halo's charm doesn't apply to anything blockland. There have been a few good Halo Add-ons released, but there simply isn't enough drive to create things from another game/platform who's differences are so broad that they shouldn't even be comparable at all. I'm also sorry to say that most of the halo fans who have access to the internet and who regularly play blockland aren't the brightest bulbs in the box. It is a matter of understanding why people dislike things, not a matter of how to convince them that they're "wrong" or "haters". Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I myself am not sure how many more times I'll feel the need to explain this. EDIT: The jetpack is already attainable through a few mouse clicks. You don't need to see it on your back and in your inventory. Why don't you suggest an item that propels you upward with a cooldown, effectively allowing you to double-jump? |
